I hold a particular passion for helping veterans. Back in 2010, I took on fundraising to help restore the Iwo Jima statue in Cape Coral’s Eco Park. I love assisting veterans in finding the right housing, whether it’s renting or buying a home.
When it comes to customer service, I truly care and always aim to do the right thing quickly. Empathy guides my actions as I consistently put myself in my clients’ shoes, considering how I would feel in each scenario. How would I feel if I were a tenant with a broken air conditioner in the Florida heat? How would I feel if I were an investment property owner whose tenant stopped paying rent? These reflections drive me to go the extra mile. For instance, during Covid, none of our tenants missed a rent payment. I personally sought out information about programs like the Lee Cares Individual Assistance program, which provided financial assistance for families experiencing a loss of income due to Covid, and shared that information with our tenants. I told them, “We are family, and we will get through this together.” Family and relationships are of utmost importance to me, and I consider all of our investors, buyers, tenants, and vendors as part of my extended family. This approach has resulted in most of our tenants and investors staying with us for more than four years. That’s what happens when you treat people like family.
